wow, they sure do look alike..interesting that the sire can have such power over the ewe's genetics. Congratulations on your spotted lambs. I hope they grow like weeds.

Hi,
Thanks for visiting my blog! Did you know that I chose Bahama as my new ram because I admired Barbados so much! They are full brothers. Peeps is going to deliver my group soon, Marshmello included. We must have similar taste, I know you thought about flying her up to you. Did your others get there yet? My husband spent some time in AK after college. I was lucky enough to visit a couple of times. So beautiful!!

Congratulations on another spotty! I know you've been looking forward to them so, and you can't be disappointed. Makes my little flock look plain, I suppose, but you know what they say: "Every crow thinks her chick's the blackest." :-) Better go get my chickies in the fold for the night....

hahahaha! Thanks Michelle! I've been looking at solid colored sheep for more than 10 years so it's sure nice to see the recessives out there now.....more variety!

And thanks Kara - you'd better take great care of Marshmallow, she is my favorite girl and so is her beautiful lamb. My others come up in a few week!

Karen and Peeps, thanks for the comments. I agree, sometime a ram can be prepotent and that's a good thing. Both lambs have a very nice temperament, and so does their dad Captain Hook. But I'm sure Captain inherited that from the Great Pan too. I'm bottle feeding the ewe lamb twice a day even tho she doesn't seem to need it, but she's learned to rush over and let me pet and scratch her now so I will have my pet ewe, something I've always liked. Not EVERYONE has to work for a living here! :-)
