Mt. Redoubt went POOF! at 9:24am this morning with a projected height of 64,000 feet.....that's allot! Now to wait and see if it was a big ash producing event or not. High altitude predictions are that is should be in the air at our place 2 hours after the event. We shall see. Just for grins tho, I washed off the hood of my truck that sits outside to check for ash dust later. Since it was a quick burst relatively speaking, there's probably not allot of ash that's gone into the airstream, but then again at this time they don't know.
I also had presents waiting for me this morning! Woohoo! Our first twins born here this year out of my half Suffolk/ half Shetland ewe. Twin boys but that's ok, I have 3 of her daughters here and I don't need any more! YAY! One is black the other will be gray...and what a great momma she is too!
Pictures coming when the air is clear........

if we are trying to compete for local tragedy that is bigger i'll let you win! Just make the river go back down! :)
No, I think you'd win Garrett...flooding is horrible. I can live with earthquakes and volcanoes. Besides, if we do get a decent ashfall at all, it can double the hay crop. I still have my fingers crossed for you, I remember 10 years ago when it flooded there and they were saying it was the '100 year flood' - obviously they were off by ten years, weren't they..... :-(
Oh, and our volancoe just blew up at around 8:30am AGAIN this morning....active little bugger.....
