Oh brother......once the deluge stopped this evening, the clouds rose enough to see the mountains again. Fresh snow on the tops! AUGH!!! Too early......

I was in the mountains of Colorado....and every night in AUGUST they had flurries or snow 'watches'. and yet the flowers and trees never wilted or lost leaves...and it got close to 33 or 34 at night there, every night, even though the days were like 70. perfect weather if you ask me! no bugs!

THE LACK OF SUMMER CONTINUES IN ANCHORAGE. THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE OFFICE ON SAND LAKE ROAD IN ANCHORAGE RECORDED A MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE OF 53 DEGREES YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD AND COOL
RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 55 DEGREES SET BACK IN 1954. THE
HIGH TEMPERATURE ON JULY 23 SHOULD NORMALLY REACH 66 DEGREES.
