Busy dog show weekend

It was a busy dog show weekend. Saturday it had rained overnight but let up as the show started. Our friend and competitor from Kenai took the 5 point major in bitches with her 3 year old girl, so her long drive was not for nothing at least! I went home very early so I could teach herding lessons in the afternoon. Today it poured rain and didn't let up in the morning at all, and on the sparse grass and plenty of mud, one of my puppy owners put the 5 point major on her girl, named Arra, who just turned a year old! So it was a good weekend!!!

Cool! Another Shetland Sheep/Dog person. We have Labradors (and a Welsh Springer). DH and I will be judging agility in Fairbanks next weekend. Maybe some of your dogs will be running?

Hi Franna! Oh you should have a great time in Fairbanks this coming weekend! I don't have time to run Agility along with the farm, sheep, and dairy goats, but starting Friday is our 3 days of AKC and AHBA herding trials as well as 2 days of lessons and clinics. The state's largest herding trials are held here every 4th of July and I have mine entered as well as client dogs to run, so it's gonna be a very busy 5 days here! I hope you have a wonderful time up there with the dog folks!!
